Cub Scout Pack 582

Our Blue Angels camping trip is April 27-29.  We have arrangement's made to get our picture with the pilots on Friday, however that is a CRCT day in Gwinnett County.  We have been told by the school that testing will be done by 11:30am.  The Blue Angels normally start around 2:00pm and taking pictures at 3:00pm.  The trip is about 2 hours to get there.  I mention this because I don't want any one to be disappointed if we don't make it before they finish their friends and family visits, so this might be a gamble.  The show is from 11:00 - 6:00 on Saturday and weather permitting the Blue Angels usually go on about 2:00 - 3:00pm.  
We will discuss at the camp site when we are going to the show on Saturday and how long we are staying. We might go early so we can get good seats up front, because most likely Saturdays show we will just have general admission tickets.  We are camping at Camp Benjamin Hawkins Friday and Saturday night.   Everyone is responsible for bringing their own food but if they are not a camper and are concerned about equipment we do have some serious campers in our pack that have a lot of equipment and I am sure willing to share.  Last year many people made "silver turtles" which is a meal cooked by wrapping everything up in tin foil and placing it in the fire until it is done.  We hope to see everyone there.


In June we are planning to go to the USS Alabama and stay the night on the ship.  This will be Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd.  Moeny is due at the April pack meeting.
